Hello, fellow travelers! Katy Thompson here, your travel agent from Gallivanters Vacations. I’m buzzing with excitement as I recall a recent trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. My heart still feels full from the charm of the city, and my stomach happily remembers the incredible tastes. Ultimately, I thank a truly great breakfast spot for this lasting impression: Aretha Frankenstein.
The Quirky Charm of Aretha Frankenstein
You might think, “Aretha Frankenstein? What a name!” However, it’s part of its charm! This is not just any breakfast place. Instead, it’s an experience. Aretha Frankenstein is a rock’n restaurant off the beaten path in Chattanooga. It has served tasty food and cool vibes for years. No one really knows how it got its name. Nevertheless, locals love the restaurant. It clearly shows its good food and fun style. Consequently, every part of the place feels like it has a story.
Let’s talk about the look and feel. It’s charming! When you walk in, Aretha Frankenstein feels cozy. Furthermore, it’s a bit quirky. It feels like your best friend’s band decided to open a coffee shop in their house and had their grandma run the kitchen. It’s an awesome blend of amazing food and rock’n roll decor. This is not a boring chain restaurant. Instead, this place has soul.
A Feast for Your Taste Buds
Now, for the main event: the food! Oh, the food! I love breakfast. In fact, Aretha Frankenstein exceeded my expectations.
-
The Pancakes: You must try the pancakes. They are like fluffy clouds of joy that are ever so crispy on the outside. They are so soft inside and have an overall texture and flavor that is our of this world. Add some syrup to they’re special butter and you have made it to breakfast heaven. I still dream about them to this day!
-
The Breakfast Burrito: Do you like savory food? Their breakfast burrito is almost the size of an NFL football. It has eggs, cheese, and your choice of fillings. It came with a side of grits…not that I could have possibly wanted more food. This tightly wrapped monster burrito has no problem fueling you for your day. For instance, you can explore Lookout Mountain. Or, you can visit the Tennessee Aquarium.
-
The Sausage, Egg, and Biscuit: For a classic breakfast, try the sausage, egg, and biscuit. The biscuit itself is flaky and buttery. Add perfectly cooked eggs and tasty sausage. Ultimately, it’s an enormous, towering breakfast sandwich that is not for the faint of heart. It clearly shows that simple, good food is often best.
