Hello everyone! I am Katy Thompson, your lead travel advisor at Gallivanters Vacations. If you know me, you know I love two things: seamless travel planning and a great cold brew.
Today, we are talking about something very special for the adults in the room. We all know about Butterbeer. It is iconic, sugary, and legendary. But what if you want something with a bit more… “kick”?
In 2026, Universal Orlando Resort has become a true destination for craft beer lovers. With the grand opening of Epic Universe, the selection of exclusive, themed beers has never been better. You can now sip a stout in London, a lager in Springfield, and a farmhouse ale in a “dark” universe all in one trip!
Let’s dive into my 2026 guide to the top specialty beers at Universal Studios Orlando.
The Wizarding World: Magic in a Glass
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter set the standard for themed drinks. You won’t find Bud Light in Diagon Alley. Instead, you get brews that feel like they were pulled straight from the pages of a spellbook.
1. Wizard’s Brew
This is the “heavy hitter” of Diagon Alley. Wizard’s Brew is a deep, dark milk stout.
-
The Flavor: Expect strong notes of chocolate and coffee with a surprisingly sweet finish. It is creamy and rich.
-
The Cost: $13.50 (2026 pricing).
-
Where to Buy: You can find this at The Leaky Cauldron, The Hopping Pot, and The Fountain of Fair Fortune in Universal Studios Florida.
2. Dragon Scale
If you prefer something crisper, go for the Dragon Scale. This is an amber lager that is perfect for a hot Florida afternoon.
-
The Flavor: It is malty and smooth. It has a slight sweetness but is much more “drinkable” than the heavy Wizard’s Brew.
-
The Cost: $13.50.
-
Where to Buy: Available at the same locations as Wizard’s Brew in Diagon Alley.

3. Hog’s Head Brew
Heading over to Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure? You must visit the Hog’s Head Pub. This red ale was the original exclusive brew for the Wizarding World.
-
The Flavor: It is a traditional Irish Red Ale. Think of it as a more refined version of Killian’s. It has a toasted malt flavor with a very clean finish.
-
The Cost: $13.50.
-
Where to Buy: Exclusively at the Hog’s Head Pub (tucked in the back of Three Broomsticks).

Springfield: Brews for the Common Man
You cannot visit Springfield, USA, without stopping by Moe’s Tavern. Universal partnered with a local brewery to create a real-life version of Homer Simpson’s favorite drink.
4. Duff Beer
Yes, it is real! And honestly? It is a solid, easy-drinking lager.
-
The Flavor: It is a classic American lager. It is light, refreshing, and meant for “the everyman.”
-
The Cost: Approximately $13.00 for a souvenir bottle or draft.
-
Where to Buy: Moe’s Tavern or the Duff Brewery waterfront bar in Universal Studios Florida.
5. Dufftoberfest (Seasonal)
If you visit in September or October, look for Dufftoberfest.
-
The Flavor: This is a Marzen-style ale. It is heavier and more caramel-forward than the standard Duff. It is widely considered the best beer in Springfield.
-
The Cost: $13.50.
The New Frontier: Epic Universe 2026 Specialty Brews
The 2026 opening of Epic Universe brought four new “Portals” of flavor. Each land has its own signature beer that fits its theme perfectly.
6. Reaper’s Reserve (Dark Universe)
This is for the fans of the monsters. Reaper’s Reserve is found in the shadows of Dark Universe.
-
The Flavor: A caramel spice brown ale. It is “moody” and complex, with hints of cinnamon and clove that warm you up.
-
The Cost: $14.00.
-
Where to Buy: The Burning Blade Tavern in Dark Universe.
7. Au Currant Saison (The Wizarding World – Ministry of Magic)
The newest Harry Potter land features a sophisticated French-inspired brew.
-
The Flavor: This is a Blackcurrant Farmhouse Saison. It is tart, fruity, and slightly earthy. It is the most “craft” feeling beer in the parks right now.
-
The Cost: $14.50.
-
Where to Buy: Bar Moonshine within the Ministry of Magic portal.
8. Stoick’s Ale (How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk)
Drink like a Viking! This beer is as bold as a Chieftain.
-
The Flavor: A Belgian-style White Ale. It has citrus notes and a spicy yeast profile. It is very refreshing after riding a dragon!
-
The Cost: $13.50.
-
Where to Buy: Spitfire Grill in the Isle of Berk.
9. Speechless Astronomer (Celestial Park)
This is the flagship beer of the central hub of Epic Universe.
-
The Flavor: A grapefruit wheat ale. It is bright, celestial, and very easy to drink while watching the Stardust Racers roar by.
-
The Cost: $13.50.
-
Where to Buy: The Plastered Owl or Atlantic in Celestial Park.
Jurassic Park: A Brew 65 Million Years in the Making
Islands of Adventure isn’t just for Harry Potter fans. The Jurassic Park area has a hidden gem that many people walk right past.
10. Isla Nublar IPA
If you are an IPA lover, this is your stop.
-
The Flavor: It is a classic citrus-heavy IPA. It has a strong hop presence but doesn’t bite too hard. It is a great “theme park IPA.”
-
The Cost: $13.50.
-
Where to Buy: The Watering Hole in Jurassic Park.
